Three minutes after ten is a time. Very good morning indeed to you. I hope you're okay. I hope you're well. I hope you're coping.

I sort of increasingly wonder which corners of the country need addressing most directly.

I do worry about people self-isolating alone. You must be climbing the walls by now and the sense

that we're barely out of the foothills. In fact, I suspect we may still be in the foothills of this crisis, can only be adding to your burdens. But I'd like to begin,

if you don't mind, by paying tribute to one man who I think represents many, many more men and

women, but whose achievement over the last few days has been spectacular.

We will, I think inevitably and quite rightly,

be asking some very searching questions about government policy this morning,

the most searching of which it occurs to me,

will be what is the government policy?

I wonder how many people in the United Kingdom

could actually describe neatly what our government is doing, what the plan is.

But before all of that, Colonel Ashley Boreham, I don't know about you, but I'm always conscious that I could have done something more useful with my life.

I'm not suggesting that I lie awake at night, beating myself up for not being a teacher or a doctor or a soldier in this case.

But the quiet duty with which men and women like him go about their lives, the quiet sense of duty with which men and women like him go about their lives. The quiet sense of duty

with which men and women like him go about their lives really does inspire rather than shame

the rest of us. And our world would not be anything like what it is without

without people like them at the best of time soldiers keep us safe doctors keep us

healthy teachers keep us informed and and so the list goes on you you know that the emergency services

routinely feature on this program has been considerably more deserving of our praise and attention

than many of the people in
