What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius.

And we're recording this on Thursday morning, which as we're talking, the Lakers are having

their last practice of the week prior to their next game. This is the supposedly the real training camp week D.

And you had some thoughts just about the readiness of the team to start the season.

We've talked a bit about how there are winnable games at the start of the schedule.

I'm of the belief for many reasons that the team getting off to a good start is important,

one of which being a team full of guys on expiring contracts are going to be more inclined to fracture if things go poorly, right? I think there are several guys that could go either way that if the team has good vibes and they're together, they're going to join that party. But if the team doesn't, then they're going to fracture along with it. And so,

Dee, talk to me a little bit about, I know this is on your mind about the team's readiness

for the season. It is on my mind, Pete. And this may sound like a broken record because the last

few pods we've been talking about the dissonance between like some of the commentary

coming into training camp and the importance of practice and togetherness and how

then on the other side we've seen for totally legitimate reasons. I'm not questioning that stuff.
