We got a lot of moving pieces in DC right now and one piece that is moving to DC is a big one.

One of only a hundred minted. The new junior senator from California is

Lafonza Butler. Diane Feinstein, unfortunately, shuffling loose this mortal coil last week, that means Gavin Newsom has named both

of California's senators, and it's a little controversial. California Senators.

And it's a little controversial. We're going to break it down.

Not only where this is politically,

because by the way, there is a currently ongoing primary for Diane Feinstein's seat.

We're going to tell you a little bit about Butler herself and the organization that she's coming from,

Emily's List, which is a name you might have heard a lot,

but I didn't understand and I think you guys are going to really get something out of this unless you are extraordinarily well versed in Emily's

list. So let's start here. The race itself, Diane Feinstein said about a year ago that she was not going to run for her seat again.

Obviously, that proved to be wise as she is no longer with us.
