Speaker, the House has been vacated.

This on a vote where eight Republicans voted to kick McCarthy to the curb.

Those Republicans, Buck, Biggs, Birkett, Crane, Gates, Good, Mace, and Rosendale.

A lot of those names, Nancy Mace, probably the biggest surprise of them.

Rosedale also somebody that is obviously going to be in the news a lot.

He's thinking about running for Senate in Montana.

So what happens now?

Well, right now we have a speaker pro temp

that temporary speaker will be appointed from a list

that McCarthy has provided and we do have that name let me just find it.

The House is going to recess and Republicans will go to conference to figure out what happens

from here.

But we are going to need a new speaker and the question now becomes okay well we are

now very much in the era of let's just do it. What's the worst that can happen?

Let's just do it. And now we've done something that has never happened in American

history before. It had been I I believe, 118 years since a motion to vacate

had been called.
