You know that wonderful Spanish

liqueur that tastes a bit like mouthwash but really really does the job? All I've got is a cup

of tea and appropriately you know what I'm doing? Breaking off from a chapter I'm doing on my book

on Troublemakers on Nigel Farage, which will be the last chapter in the book. It goes back to

the 19th century. And I'm breaking it off to partly talk about the latest defection to reform.

And what that tells us actually about, you know, the bigger party, the inverted commas,

the Tory party as well as reform.

And of course, there's more to reflect on the consequences of Kirstama blocking Andy Burnham.

And so we'll look at both of those.

It wasn't that long ago, was it, that the two bigger parties, Labor and the conservatives,

kind of battled it out together.

Even as recently as 2017, it was the two bigger parties who dominated.

We're now seeing these huge internal tensions and manifesting in the conservative case in

defections of high profile people um shall we begin with that and then reflect more on
