and welcome to our weekend edition, which we, I mean, I speak only for myself

because I would never dare to speak for these chaps.

I'm literally recording in my pyjamas, dear listeners.

But I'm joined by Ian Martin and Tim Montgomery.

We don't have Steve this morning, but doubtless he will be back next week for the nitty-gritty of our weekday episode.

But we thought we should gather on this sunny Saturday morning

to record a quick episode for you, loyal NAA listeners, because there's just so much going on

domestically and internationally.

Now, Ian and Tim, when we met earlier in the week, we had a right old set to about who else Donald Trump and his

attempts to bestride this earth like a colossus and whether he really deserved to be the

colossus of our times. But of course, since Tuesday when we recorded, all sorts of things have happened, not least the European powers, including the UK, deciding to show a bit of backbone over Greenland.

Trump deciding, as Tim, to be fair, you did predict that perhaps his ambitions towards Greenland were not necessarily in the territorial military grab

sort of category.

And domestically, also we've had this really quite interesting development inside the Labour Party,

which is a Greater Manchester constituency, Gorton and Denton, opening up should Andy Burnham decide to throw his

hat into the ring. And then, of course, once he's an MP again, he would be able to challenge

Kirstama for the leadership and indeed for the premiership, let's face it. So chaps, what do we think?

Have we been mostly preoccupied with watching the Davos live footage,

which is a hell of a lot more interesting than it usually is?

And I say that as a Financial Times employee.
