talk about a story that somehow I forgot to talk about last week, which is bizarre because I wrote

the news article for slash film.com, which is that Paramount has found the writers and directors

of its next Star Trek movie, John Francis

Daly and Jonathan Goldstein, who made movies like Dungeons and Dragons, Honor Among Thieves,

and Game Night, are writing, producing, and directing this film. It is not going to have anything

to do with the so-called Kelvinverse, which is the JJ Abrams and Justin

Lynn movies. So Chris Pine, Zoe Saldanya, Simon Pegg, those folks are not going to be

involved in this. It's going to be a new cast, new characters even, instead of relying on

familiar characters that we know from this universe.

So it's supposed to be just a completely new take.

So that's kind of exciting.
