Good morning. It's three minutes after 10 and if you have come here in the hope of finding some clarity

and incisive commentary from me on the current state of affairs regarding the Sue Gray report

and the Metropolitan Police Inquiry into the countless parties undertaken at Downing Street

in direct contravention of the laws written in Downing Street, then you may be disappointed,

but fear not.

History suggests that my callers will come galloping to the rescue of both of us, you and me,

on this one. So stay tuned for that. There is some good news, I suppose.

Despite the best efforts of the Daily Mail and the maddest fringes of both newspaper and social media. I haven't yet, excuse me, I haven't

yet encountered anyone arguing that this is no big deal and we should all move on who isn't

wearing a red nose, a rotating bow tie and unfeasibly enormous shoes. But that will change.

This is how Johnson operates. And I, I,

it is incredible, isn't it? I know it's used this analogy more than probably any other in my

broadcasting career, but sitting in the crowd, standing in the crowd, shouting, look, he's naked.

Let me show you how, let me prove to you that he's naked and still having people alongside you or behind you in the crowd

insisting that he's wearing the most magnificent of robes. This is how Boris Johnson operates.

This is how he has spent his entire life. He does appalling things, either consciously and deliberately

or simply by dint of being lazy and not caring about anything.
