models of parenting and domestic setup despite the the fact that in their heads, they've

the Boris Johnson story, obviously, and the astonishing contortions being undertaken this morning by people...

Generally, you don't like conversations about journalism.

Even during the phone hacking scandal, it wasn't something that you had particularly strong opinions on.

Until, of course, the Millie Dowler revelations reached the public eye and then everybody was quite righteously and indeed rightfully outraged.

But in terms of how journalists shame themselves in public by seeking to defend someone they like in circumstances which, if it was anybody else, they would be abiding by that old epithet

publish and be damned now i don't like boris johnson politically uh i mean personally doesn't

really matter i don't know him but you know that i don't like him. So I'm already handcuffed this morning,

metaphorically speaking. Because this is it. This is the problem with having any opinion about

anyone now. I don't like Jeremy Corbyn either. So I could quite happily sit here now and say,

if the tape contained Jeremy Corbyn's wife screaming, get off me at him, while more than one neighbour, this is another point that seems to be very conveniently glossed over by people who frankly should know better.

Obviously, I don't include Jacob Rees-Mogg in that description. But to talk about this issue as if it was just one neighbour, they've already got one other neighbour on the record saying I was thinking of

phoning the police when I saw the van pull up outside.
