Summary

0:33.3	enormous power of Jesus and fall into a very small vision, small expectation, very little faith,
0:42.0	and we get overwhelmed. And it's easy to be taking things into our own hands and trying to figure
0:48.6	it out. One of the gifts of COVID-19 is, I think for so many of us in leadership, especially in the church, we thought
0:55.8	we knew what we were doing. We had a plan, and all of that got disrupted and continues to
1:01.6	get disrupted as God is shifting the wineskins of how we do church, and we're being thrust
1:07.1	in a fresh way into Jesus. Now, the story, the message of this podcast, I'm going to be sharing a
1:12.5	message from you, comes from Mark Chapter 5, and it's Jesus, it gives you a glimpse, it gives us a
1:18.0	glimpse into the enormous power of Jesus over evil in the story of the garrisoned demoniac.
1:24.6	In fact, it's more graphic than any other story in the New Testament and gives
1:29.1	us a picture of what the demonic does to human beings and destroying God's image and
1:36.5	distorting God's image in people. And so the scene begins with a man full of a legion of demons,
1:42.5	a legion of 6,000. He's screaming at the top of his
1:44.9	oise. He's limbing in a cemetery. He's chained and shackled. That doesn't hold him. He's totally
1:50.1	uncontrollable. Violent, naked, chaotic. He wants to die. He's tortured. The situation's hopeless.
1:56.6	And then Jesus enters. And it shows the enormity, the completeness of Jesus power over the forces of evil.
2:02.7	I love this text. And one contribution of E.H. discipleship is the integration of this power of Jesus,
2:13.7	the incredible power of Jesus that we want to see and move in with the issue of the hard work
