And today we're going to share with you a message from Mark 15 of Jesus hanging on the cross in what I'm calling in the dark silence of God.

It's an incredible passage about the crucified God.

And it's just so important because remember, everything that happened to Jesus in his life

in some way happens to us.

We follow him, a teacher. A student is not above his teacher,

a servant, not above their master. And so this for me has been over the years, one of the most

important texts to shape my understanding and thinking of what it means to be a pastor, a leader,

a disciple, a follower of Jesus. And that's why silence

is so important, the practice of silence in my own life, and, you know, has been so informative

for my own formation in Jesus. In fact, as you consider this message from Mark 15 and
