Today I want to tell you a story that has nothing to do with walking, but everything to do with you.

Hi, I'm Dave. I started walking for fitness in 2013

and still take an intentional fitness walk every single day.

Ted worked in advertising. He was a copywriter.

Actually was enjoying some success in his chosen career.

But what Ted really wanted to do was become a writer of books. Wanted to be an author.

And so, Ted wrote a book. And he took his manuscript to a publisher.

Ted, of course, was feeling somewhat confident because he had some writing skills.

He had some success as a writer.

He was confident that the publisher would see that in his manuscript and say,

That's not what the publisher said. The publisher said, thank you. Thanks for letting us see this,

but no, thank you. We're going to pass. Ted was still confident that his work was worthy of publication.

There were more publishers to see. And so Ted picked up his manuscript and went on to number two, publisher number two.

Again, filled with confidence. Ted knew what he was doing. He was a copywriter.

This was a good manuscript. Publisher number two. Same response is number one. Thank you. Thanks for showing this to us, but we're going to pass.
