So January 1st is well in the rear view mirror.

Those goals that you set on January 1st are somewhere around there. Those goals, those resolutions that you set on January 1st or somewhere around there.

and in the front of the moleskin, I list all the goals that I have for the upcoming year.

And I went through a season, long season, where this annual goal setting thing was huge for me.

I'd be thinking about it for weeks in advance.

It's like this year, I'm going to do it different.

I'd go to the coffee shop and I'd take all these ideas that I had and I'd think them through

and then boil them down to just the 10 that I wanted to

accomplish and I would wordcraft each goal so that it was specific and that it was motivating

and I've got all those written in the front of my mullskin for the different years and I went back just for kicks recently and opened up a couple of those and was like, yep, didn't do that, didn't do that.

I might have accomplished one or two and it was only by accident.

It isn't because I set my focus on on doing this thing i think

january first is a terrible terrible time to set goals by the way i think goals are great i think

having a focus and wanting to accomplish something is powerful. So it's not that. I just think January 1st is a terrible time to do that because there's so much focus, so much conversation about, hey, what are you going to do this year? What are you going to accomplish?
