And I'm Antonio Dodge. I love, Antonio and I both love love the HBO TV show The Wire.

If you've never seen this, it's an incredible show over five seasons.

And basically, we've talked about this on the podcast before,

but basically the show The Wire over five seasons

takes the city of Baltimore here in the United States and it looks at the drug

trade and ecosystem that supports the drug trade in the city of Baltimore over five

seasons and it follows a set of characters in the police department but each

season takes a slice or a viewpoint of the drug trade in Baltimore City. Now I lived in Baltimore City for a while

and I can tell you that it's very interesting to watch how the different layers of

viewing the city and the city's challenges are in each season.

Season one it looks at the street drug trade, the actual dealers they're on the street,

it looks at it from their viewpoint. Season two it looks at the dock workers and the imports how drugs get into the

harbor in Baltimore City I think season three looks at the government and all the

developers and all the people that are benefiting financially from a business side from the drug

trade and all the backhanded payments and all this stuff. Season four deals with the

school system and how the school system interplays and ties into the drug trade and

the final season season season five looks at

the the news media and the Baltimore Sun offices and how the newspapers and the media

play into the narratives around the drug trade and all the policing of this.

So it's a fascinating show looking and we really see it as a systems thinking looking

or systems viewpoint of all the challenges and inter complexities of Baltimore City and the
