Now let's dive in. Jesus tells us that when you fast, not if you fast, Jesus modeled fasting, he expected his followers to do the same.

The idea of fasting is abstaining from food for spiritual reasons.

I'm sorry, but fasting is not fasting social media, fasting, you know, TV or fasting gossip,

all of that stuff. That's abstaining from certain things, but that's not biblical definition of

fasting. Fasting is really trading what is temporary

for eternal. It's trading what's physical for spiritual, what's visible for invisible. I like to call it

fasting is trading the bowl for the blessing. Now here's five reasons I believe a lot of people don't
