O'Brien, you and I are two guys that firmly believe that Notre Dame is in prime position

to win a national title this season.

And there's a lot of reasons as to why.

We brought it up in other shows when we're doing position previews, talking about

CJ cars, Heisman odds, and talking about the playoff odds. We're always talking about how we think Notre Dame can go win a championship. Now we're going to dive into the why. And what are the things working in their favor for them to become national champions and win their first one since 1988? And that's where we start this discussion. Yeah. So the premise of these first, these next two segments is we're going to say,

we're going to start with a premise.

Notre Dame is going to win the national championships in 2026 because of insert reasons.

And then part two will be Notre Dame won't win a national championship in 2026 and the insert

reasons.

So it's sort of setting a premise and then explaining why that premise will will be true and and so that's why I think it's

going to be fun to have as opposed to just like here's the strengths of the team and you know

going through each individual players it's kind of looking at just from a different point of of like, they're going to win it all. And here are the reasons why they're going to win it all. And when you look at this football team, I think one thing that you can't deny for this nerdy football team is sometimes it's the outside influences that properly give you the kick in the pants or the focus or the whatever you, the motivation you need. And I think the first thing I look at when I talk about why this Ner-Nate football team is going to win a title in 2026, they have proper motivation. The leave no doubt thing is not just a like every team has slogans. When I played college football, we had, you know, every year we had new team shirts and they always had some new unity or whatever. And they were just slogans and you tried to build your team around it. Now the slogan is like there. Like the slogan presented itself. There was like, you know, we didn't have to sit down with the head coach and what are we going to do this year? It's like, dude, I mean, it was just gifted to us. Leave no doubt.

You know, this revenge tour type of thing, I think the motivation for this season is, is obvious.

Beyond just the normal, hey, we want to be champs, we want to be great.

There's that added fuel.

I think you've got to start with that.

It's one of the only sports that can be very influenced by a lot of the narratives around the sport.

When I mean influenced, I mean the outside factors, in my opinion, play a bigger role in college sports,

especially college football than any others.
