This clip is from my chat with Dr. Jeff McNary, who runs the world's first medically licensed

ayahuasca retreat. As many of you know, I did ayahuasca 10 years ago, and it was brutal, but at the

same time transformative for me. Anyway, the point of this clip is what Jeff says at the end about how

shamanic cultures recognize the interconnectedness of everything. And so suffer less because

they don't resist what happens and what is. And it is our resistance to the vicissitudes of

life which causes the vast majority of unnecessary psychological suffering.

But you prompted me to remember someone saying, he thinks everyone who's prime ministers and presidents should be forced to drink ayahuasca at least three times.

You know, like like I love that you

know like if if if you know real leaders did go through this and I'm being somewhat flipping here

I'm not joking because obviously there as you've said there are parameters and stress whatever but

from a purely having a look at your own motivations,

having a look at your shadow, you know, getting your ass kicked a bit in that way,

probably on one level that it makes sense, right?

Absolutely. We've been a fan of that type of mindset forever. We would love that. We've had,

with obviously, I'm not going to mention names, but we've had senators, Congress people,

mayors, top law enforcement, top government people from a lot of different countries come here

and do amazing and just love it and then try to help us

kind of break in to different agencies to try to open doors but it's just a slow process you know

I think it's it's going to happen eventually but it is it is threatening to you know the system

for sure yeah I mean not, the system for sure.

Yeah, I mean, not just the system, the model of reality, right?

Like, because the system is, I often think and say that, you know, you can change the politics all you want.
