room of my house. So those of you are watching this on video, I'm a ham radio operator. And I'm in this

pretty good size room. And it's like just ham radios. You can't see the front of it here,

all along the side all along the back all along this other side it's like command central in here

it's been a hobby mine that i picked up when i was about nine years old my uh my aunt of all people

was a long distance truck driver and one day day she was visiting me when I was a

wee lad. And she said, hey, Carl, you want to see something kind of cool? I said, sure. So this was in the early

1970s showing my age here. And went out to her truck. She showed me a little CB radio that was up on her countertop.

And man, the rest is history.

I just took off.

I just something about how that opened up the world for me.

And then not too long after that, I became a ham radio operator where we talked to people all over the world.
