What's going on everyone out there in the epic gardening world? This is Kevin and again we're back with Dan from Crop swap and today we're riffing on organic gardening.

Why Dan thinks that's the right way to go. I think most of you listening to the

podcast would probably agree with that. I take a slightly different position in

that it really depends on your goals. If I'm trying to get someone started

learning how to garden in the first place, I'm not about to drop, you know,

teeming with microbes on them and a bunch of jargon and philosophy. I'm going to try to get them to have one plant grow

successfully, and if that's not organic,

totally cool with me.

My hope would then be that they see the way of organic

down the road instead of trying to use all sorts of

you know synthetic inputs and all sorts of

you know synthetic inputs and all sorts of interesting and potentially not helpful ways of gardening.

But that's my opinion where you're here to listen to Dan's opinion so let's go ahead and get right to the episode.

Organic gardening because we just touched on it a little bit and I think you've got a little

section here about how do we know organic gardening is unequivocally right and I'm curious what you mean by that and

then I'm curious how you know that.

Well this is just that's kind of a click-bady title honestly to talk about as you're saying like

more organic you know I'm speaking to more of organic beyond organic I guess what

I'm you know what I'm trying to articulate is we know this type of gardening that you preach and I preach.

You know, we talk, you know, we know the gardening that focuses on the soils and really

tunes into these things is unequivocally right because, you know, we have these, you know, what are called externalities and economics, but we have these externalities with our current food system.
