Not that sort of satisfaction

matron, intellectual satisfaction, to receive an answer to the question that has had you, puzzled, befuddled,

discombobulated perhaps, even for the longest time. If you are new to this, whether you're listening

on the radio live or whether you're listening on the podcast. If you are new to this, then

think of it as the radio equivalent of a newspaper's notes and queries column, but with added

personality and immediacy. In other words, everybody listening will have something in their

head that they have been unable, either recently or historically, to satisfactorily answer.

Somebody listening will be able to answer that question.

It's as simple as that.

There's a couple of rules about dullness and repetition,

but you don't really need to concern yourself with those unduly.

That's our job.

The point, in a sense, is why bother doing this in a world full of internet search engines

and reference points?

The answer is, why the hell not bother doing this in a world where information is easier

to access than it ever has been before?

Because what is disappearing?

What is diminishing?

What is in danger of perhaps going out of fashion forever?
