Why do women stay with abusive men? Why do these women defend these men to their friends and family?

Well, typically women, they get abused often will blame themselves. Oh, if I, I shouldn't have pissed him off.

I shouldn't have said that. It's my fault. And typically, they learn that kind of behavior growing up.

But the other thing is it's like guys that are super jealous or control freaks or that are abusive.

They're typically insecure.

And so initially when the woman starts dating these guys is, and he's telling her what to do and what time and to be there and he's very assertive at it

and she does it because she likes it because most women like to be dominated but his way of

dominating is is dominating from a place of fear instead of a place to love because love is

allowing you allow her to come and go and you have the attitude just like

Tom Petty had and good love is hard to find. It's like, hey, if I don't take you all the way, then go.

If you think you can do better than me, then go. I dare you to find somebody better. You just

kind of have to have that kind of a vibe of indifference that hey i'm a catch too you

need to win me over as well not you're going to see these things but you need to kind of come from

that place what was the question again why do women stay with abusive men and why do they defend

these men uh to their friends and family?

So the other thing is you got Stockholm, a little bit of Stockholm syndrome going on.

Sometimes if they're codependent, they grew up with an alcoholic or drug addicted parent and they were always making

excuses. They think I'm going to fix this. He's a great boyfriend. He's a great guy. But if I could

just fix this about him, he'll be awesome. And so they got a little bit of a, I guess in psychology, you call it, like it's a trauma bond,

if you will, especially if they got similar screwed up things that they both share. But

the problem is, is that whenever she tries to pull away from these guys, the guys become more
