The Bible is the best-selling book in the world and the least read.

This particular time in our world, even among believers, there's a great deal of debate and

discussion about all kinds of things connected to the Bible.

But one of the sad things that I'm observing is that so many people are talking about the Bible

and very few people are reading the Bible. How much attention do you give to the Word of God?

Over our last several studies, we have been looking at current questions and Bible answers.

We laid some foundation in our introductory studies, and then over the last few episodes,

we've looked at some specific questions given by our listeners. I would like to recommend

But let me conclude this portion of our study today with a question that has been submitted

to us.

And it is this question, does God command that we read the Bible?

Why is it important that Christians actually read Scripture?

Is it not enough that we go to church, that we hear a preacher preach it?

Why do we teach and preach that each day the Lord's people ought to be in the Word of God for themselves?

Now, I would say just from a personal and practical standpoint, you want to hear from people that you love.

I love to hear my wife's voice. I want to hear what my kids think. I really want to hear my

granddaughter's words. I love them. They love me. If we say we love God and we want to know

his love for us in a deeper way. The only way that communication takes place

is through conversation. We speak to God in prayer. How does God speak to us through His word? And so
