I was talking to my cousin the other day, and she said something that was really unbelievable,

0:04.7

like it just kind of set me back. And she said to me, well, you know, because Tupac's living in Cuba.

0:12.9

And I was like, well, what would be the purpose of him staging his own death to flee to Cuba? And she said, well, you know, that's what

0:24.8

everybody said back then. And, you know, he's, he's over there because his cousin Asada Shakur is over

there. She's living in exile. And, you know, the man was after him. And, you know, he was, he spoke

the truth and this, that, and a third.

I said to her, I was like, listen, like, I like Tupac about as much as anybody else, but I'm like,

0:50.5

I remember seeing what, what I considered at the time to be the autopsy photos of Tupac.

1:37.9

And when you get an autopsy, there's something called a Y-shaped incision and it goes all, it extends from your shoulders and goes center to your breastbone and then goes all the way down. And that's how they open you up and examine your organs. I'm like, I saw that. I said, but also from what I understood, Tupac was Muslim. And per Muslim practices and tradition, you have to get cremated. And she was like, I don't know, I don't know. I don't know about that. But it was, it was interesting because she's much younger than I am. And I was actually surprised that that conspiracy theory from like 20 plus years ago that I had heard back then when Tupac was killed still persisted with like the millennial generation.

1:45.8

But the scary part about conspiracy theories is that you can't tell the difference between what's fact and what's fantasy, and that's the real problem.

1:50.6

I just want to drop it hell of low.

1:53.5

Taking care of our minds is just as important as taking care of our bodies.

1:57.5

But how do you even start that journey?

1:59.2

sanity on your path to getting your mind right. We're in this together, y'all. Let's get into

2:05.7

an Imani state of mind. Welcome to the show. Today we're talking about conspiracy theories and why

2:12.1

people are drawn to them. But before we get into that, Cam, tell me about show week.

2:17.3

My week is busy, but great.

2:19.1

And I love this topic because I think that we all know someone that's a little out there and believes conspiracy theories.

2:25.8

Yeah.

2:26.1

I mean, I'm not going to sit here and say that I've never believed something that someone told me just on face value that I later discovered was a conspiracy theory.

2:36.5

Santa Claus.
