| 0:00.0 | Half-size-me episode 472 brought to you by the half-size-me community to get in on all the good action happening there. |
| 0:09.8 | Go to half-size-me.com-forward-slash-join. |
| 0:39.8 | Hello and welcome back to another episode of the Half-size-me show today. We are so very excited to welcome Georgie |
| 1:08.3 | Fear back on the show. She has been on the show before episode 187 for core habits that will help you lean out with Georgie Fear. |
| 1:18.0 | If you haven't had a chance, go back to episode 187. You'll get to hear a lot of good stuff about her book, Lean Habits. |
| 1:24.8 | In this episode though, we are going to be diving into her new book, Give Yourself More. I loved this book. |
| 1:34.2 | I felt it so went in line with the message here on half-size-me and I wanted to bring her back on and share how women can start to focus on getting healthy, maybe losing weight, from a place of adding quality and pleasure, and more to their lives versus just taking away things. |
| 1:55.5 | What is interesting is when I bring somebody on for coaching, I'll normally ask them a series of questions and what I find often is people want to subtract things from their life. |
| 2:06.2 | They want to take out treats, take out alcohol, take out snacks, take out things that they get pleasure from. They never start usually from a place of adding more vegetables. |
| 2:19.0 | Adding a walk, adding in protein, adding in fun activities to combat that voice in your head, I deserve this treat. |
| 2:30.2 | Yes, you do deserve a treat, not necessarily the cheesets that you're grabbing for, but you do deserve a treat. You do deserve rewards and fun. |
| 2:39.5 | We don't look at how we can add better things into our life, we usually just want to take everything away and it makes it very difficult when you're stripping your life of all the pleasures you have without replacing them, without putting good stuff in. |
| 2:53.2 | I think that this interview is going to help tremendously push past this old diet thought paradigm that so many of us have been glued to for years and start to think about this through a different lens. |
| 3:06.4 | I wanted to also just take a minute to let you know one of the big things I see people struggling with is meal planning. |
| 3:14.6 | Meal planning in general because what people often associate with meal planning is having to eat differently than they currently do. |
| 3:23.9 | If I'm going to meal plan, I should notice I'm using your quotes there, should be eating tons of veggies, |
| 3:33.4 | having that protein smoothie, not eating out, not having any fun food. |
| 3:38.5 | And so what ends up happening because meal planning gets lumped in with a certain way of eating meal planning doesn't happen. |
| 3:46.4 | Or if it does happen, it's what I call a dishonest meal plan, meaning you're writing down great stuff on paper, you got the grilled chicken, you got the salad, you got the rubbed kale salads, you've got the smoothies, you got it all happening on paper. |
| 4:00.7 | But when I watch you through the week, I'm seeing very little of that actually being consumed. |
| 4:06.8 | It goes on paper, but it doesn't go in one's mouth. |
| 4:10.6 | And so when we think about meal planning, I take you on a totally different direction with that in my meal planning made simple course. |
