Hello and welcome back to the Ask Coach Heather Show.

1:04.7

Today I'm going to be doing a coaching call with Teresa.

1:07.7

In this particular coaching call Teresa and I discussed how her previous diet attempts were not things that were sustainable for her.

1:16.7

She has been struggling with a weight regain and wanting to get the weight back off.

1:22.7

We take a totally different thought process and approach to this.

1:27.7

We talk about how to use your average weekly weight to gauge whether or not you're losing versus a day-to-day weight number to look at.

1:35.7

We talk about how she can partition out her calories so she is able to have some more foods that she enjoys on certain days versus others.

1:44.7

We take a totally different thought process where she gets to still have her wine and her treats while losing weight.

1:51.7

I know you're going to want to listen to Diane's experience. I'm sure it's going to resonate with you.

That's the big thing. You'll see the battle out there in the insta worlds and the Facebook worlds about whose diet is best, if it's low-carb, if it's vegan, if it's fasting, if it's juicing, if it's this, if it's that.

2:33.7

Those create separation between us because then we're in one camper the other.

2:40.7

But the reality is you and I and everyone else who struggles with their weight, we have way more in common than we do different.

2:50.7

We all struggle with the same thought processes, the same future tripping thoughts that mess us up, the feeling like we're not making progress fast enough, the picking ourselves apart, noticing the things we do wrong versus the things we do right.

3:04.7

The list goes on and on and on and these are the commonalities that we share.

3:10.7

What you choose to put in your mouth, how you choose to track it, what approach you take with your food, really?

3:16.7

In the grand scheme of things is like the tip of the iceberg of the issues that you're struggling with. They're the most superficial part of the weight loss process in my opinion.
