This week, Christians around the world are going to remember the death of Jesus on Good Friday,

and we're going to celebrate Easter Sunday.

On today's episode of Apostolic Life in the 21st century, we're going to tackle a very basic

question, a very important question for Christianity,

and that is, why did Jesus have to die? Dr. Bernard, obviously, Easter Sunday revolves around,

or begins with the death of Jesus on Good Friday, and then, of course, thankfully, his resurrection

on Easter Sunday. I want to really get to the basics of the gospel story here, and that is,

why did Jesus have to die? If you're an outsider, somebody who's not familiar with Christianity,

this probably seems like a very strange story, this Savior, this Messiah, who has to die.

It's maybe they would look at it as being bloody or grotesque.

So God created humans to have fellowship with him.

He's the source of life.

And when humans sinned, they broke that fellowship.

Because God is holy.
