Maybe 10 years ago, I moved from one office to another when I was still living in Maryland, still working at the radio station.

My boss moved his office to another part of the building, and he gave me his old office.

And I inherited the furniture that was already in the office,

including this really, really nice leather chair.

I had no idea that you could fall in love with a chair like I fell in love with that chair.

I would get off the air at 9 a.m. and begin the rest of my

workday, which primarily happened in my office, and I would go into my office, and I would not sit

in the chair behind my desk. I would sit in this leather chair on the other side of the desk

and do my work from there. I would sit in this leather chair on the other side of the desk and do my work from there. I almost, almost resented it when I

had meetings with someone and I had to get behind my desk and they got to sit my leather chair.

I fell in love with that chair, so much so that when we moved to South Carolina and I set up my home office, I said to Ava,

I need to get a chair like the one I had in Maryland, in my office at the radio station.

Anyhow, I was sitting in this chair on a recent Sunday afternoon. And it was cloudy.

It was windy.

And the temperature was lower than it should have been.

And I'm looking out the window

and I am enjoying this comfortable chair.
