Today I want to talk about the other device that has changed my fitness life and really my life.

made to yourself. Hi, I'm Dave. I started walking for fitness in 2013, still take an intentional

fitness walk every single day. I'm walking right now and I would love to have you join me for the

next 10 minutes. So I mentioned that I started walking for fitness in 2013.

It was actually in May of 2013.

I got my very first Fitbit January 2nd, 2013, and I was a runner at the time, thought I would easily get 10,000 steps because I ran every day.

And the very first day I put the Fitbit on, ran my three miles, and I was shocked by how far I still was from 10,000 steps.

And so I started adding a walk to my three mile. was from 10,000 steps.

And so I started adding a walk to my three-mile run,

so I would get closer to 10,000 steps every time I went out.

Kept doing that for about five months,

and then one day thought, as I was getting ready for my run,

that, you know, I think I'd do this run simply so I can get to the walk at the end.

Why don't I just walk?

And in that moment made the decision to walk for fitness instead of run. And it wasn't because running was painful,

that there was an injury, that it really wasn't anything other than I enjoyed walking way

more than running. And so that Fitbit transformed the way I approach fitness, the way I think about fitness, and even

the way I do fitness.

And so without any question, that is the most impactful fitness device that I've ever
