in the afternoon, and it was an episode

with just myself and Seth Barron.

The other guys were out.

We were discussing the Canadian trucker protest

and the Russian military moves on the border of Ukraine.

And you'll hear me say near the beginning

of our conversation that we didn't know how fast events

in Ukraine were going to accelerate.

And that turned out to be really true.

We did not know just how quickly things were going to move

until later that night.

Back on Wednesday, when we were recording in the afternoon,

Putin had only recognized the independence

of two separatist states in the east of Ukraine.

You'll hear us talking about that.

Now, of course, as you are listening,

he has launched all-out war.
