| 0:32.0 | And that it can be a discovery because sometimes it's so easy to think automatically as if this is the structure of the universe. |
| 0:43.0 | It's like a fish, supposedly, doesn't see the water, it swims in. |
| 0:47.0 | So, we don't necessarily see how much we're thinking because as far as we know, we've always been thinking, |
| 0:54.0 | that's the way the medium through which we understand the world. |
| 0:59.0 | And because it's so automatic and we take many times thinking for granted, |
| 1:04.0 | we don't really investigate or see what we're thinking or what we're believing |
| 1:09.0 | and what the principles they were operating under. |
| 1:13.0 | And sometimes what we're operating under is fear. |
| 1:17.0 | There can be a lot of fear that people have. |
| 1:20.0 | So, a lot of the thoughts are somehow or rather rooted in fear, looking for safety, |
| 1:25.0 | trying to make ourselves safe, trying to understand something so we can be safe. |
| 1:29.0 | Some of them are based on desires. I want something. |
| 1:34.0 | Only if I get this, will I be successful or will I be affirmed, will I get approved by people? |
| 1:40.0 | And so, I need to kind of get a better job. I need to get a better education. |
| 1:45.0 | I need to get a better car. I need to be a better meditator |
| 1:49.0 | so someone will approve me that I have, you know, so I always desire |
| 1:53.0 | and wanting something is maybe the character of the thoughts. |
| 1:58.0 | So, as we begin meditating, there's not a mistake to be thinking in meditation. |
