Hello, my friends. Welcome back. It is time for the morning mindset. I hope today you

0:09.3

are ready to just take that deep breath. Get your mind cleared of all the things that

0:14.9

are on your agenda for today. And right now, get your mind aligned with the truth of God's

0:20.1

Word. That's what we're here to do. I want to draw your attention once again to our

0:24.8

nonprofit, not a needy person, more people who have very real needs in the present day.

0:32.7

Are there needing help if you have the ability to help with very basic things, even like

0:39.1

bills that are being missed or lack of employment, those sorts of things, and can go there and

0:44.2

be a blessing. I know those who have submitted their needs and had them vetted would be so

0:49.7

touched by your generosity. Please go check out not a needyperson.org. Okay, today speaking

0:57.1

1:19.5

because he is poor. Do not oppress the afflicted at the gate for the Lord will plead their case

1:27.6

and plunder the soul of those who plunder them. Now, this seems on the surface to be just

1:34.7

a very simple proverb. Don't be mean to poor people. Don't extort poor people simply

1:41.0

to take advantage of their situation. But friends, there is a deeper truth here that

1:47.4

we want to put our focus on. And that is not only that these people who seem defenseless

1:54.0

are not really defenseless, but the focus is on who their defender is. It's the Lord

1:59.7

God who will plead their cause. And the imagery that it seems to me, Solomon is putting

2:05.6

forth for us, is that of Jesus himself, God himself being their defense attorney, so

2:12.0

to speak. He's the one who's going to plead their case. He's going to stand up for them.

2:17.4

He's the one who's going to make everything known in terms of right and wrong. And what
