Hey, everyone, welcome back to another T-Rex talk. Today, we're going to be covering a whole bunch of

random, assorted, loosely connected topics related to Kyle Rittenhouse, what heroes are and

symbolism. And we're also going to talk about superheroes briefly. And so, buckle in. First, though,

I just want to say how incredibly happy I am with the verdict that was

handed down in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial this past week. As we talked about in the past podcast,

there's a whole lot of stuff surrounding the trial that's even bigger and kind of more important and really clouds a lot of

the issues in that really simple self-defense case. But even though all of that other stuff is

still swirling around, people are still saying terrible things about Kyle Rittenhouse and his

family and anyone who is associated with him, anybody who owns an AR-15, anybody who has

roughly the same skin color as him, you know, the whole nine yards.

I can't tell you how happy I am that this young man who is in a terrible position and forced

to defend himself with lethal force is not going to be sitting in prison because of that.

Now, does that mean his life is going to just go back to normal and be super easy?

No, he's in a completely different scenario now for a whole bunch of different reasons,

some of which have absolutely nothing to do with him whatsoever,

but that's just the way that the political game is played nowadays.

For a whole bunch of people, Kyle will never again be a normal person because Kyle Rittenhouse isn't a person.

He is now a symbol. He is now emblematic of something. He is now the tip of a larger iceberg of

stuff that isn't even related to him at all. And that's just going to be how a lot of people

perceive him for the rest of his life. Now, the good news is that he doesn't actually stop being a person.

And I'm sure that he will be able to find people who can continue to see him as an actual individual

human being and not just a giant blob of white supremacy. But the media,
