Summary
A thirteen-year-old girl was home alone, trying on a new pair of shoes in her basement, when someone knocked on the garage door.
At first, she assumed a family member had come home early. Then she remembered something that instantly changed everything: nobody was supposed to be there.
Moments later, she heard slow, deliberate footsteps moving across the floor above her.
What followed lasted only a few minutes, but it frightened her enough to abandon the house entirely and run to a friend's home down the street.
Years later, she still can't explain who—or what—was trying to get inside.
