Summary
Most paranormal stories begin with something frightening. This one begins with a simple conversation.
The day before moving into a historic schoolhouse converted into apartments, a couple carried a few boxes into their new home while discussing where to buy a pipe cleaner. A few minutes later, after unloading those boxes into an otherwise empty apartment, they discovered a single bright red pipe cleaner sitting in plain sight.
Neither of them could explain where it came from.
What makes the story even stranger is that it wouldn't be the last time something unusual seemed to happen inside the old schoolhouse.
Years later, the resident still isn't sure whether the building is haunted. But if it is, whatever lives there seems surprisingly helpful.
