Summary

Beginning in the late 1970s, Ruth Finley was terrorized by a mysterious stalker known as 'The Poet'. At that time, Wichita, Kansas, was on the hunt to find another monster: the BTK serial killer. Over time, Ruth's encounters with The Poet grew more violent, leading investigators to ask a chilling question: was Ruth yet another victim on BTK's list, or did Wichita have another serial predator on the loose? Associate Professor of English at Baruch College, CUNY, Corey Mead discusses the many twists and turns in the case, as well as the shocking conclusion, as detailed in his new book, The Pursued.
