A man in Italy accused of dressing up as his mom to collect her pension.

The man whose name hasn't been released by authorities is the son of Graciella Dallolio,

who had died in 2022 at the age of 82.

Police say the 57-year-old man who's a former nurse and currently unemployed did not report her death to authorities.

When D'olio's ID expired, the son allegedly put on makeup, a wig, and her clothes to pose as

his mother and renew her ID. However, the agent that was processing the application noticed

dark hair on the back of his neck and on his chin and tipped off authorities to the alleged

crime. Officers then went to the elderly woman's home address and found her mummified body in the laundry closet room wrapped in sleeping bags. The man is accused of concealing a corpse, fraud against the state, impersonation, and forgery of a public document.
