When does a man-bites dog scenario become a dog-bytes man scenario?

How often, for example, does something have to happen before it stops being remarkable,

extraordinary and newsworthy, and becomes instead rather commonplace?

How many times a year or three years would we need to change

prime ministers before it stops being a moment of epic import? Quite remarkable to reflect that we're

now onto our fourth in six years. With the three previous ones having essentially being

banjacked by a bloke called Boris Johnson.

David Cameron was banjacked by Boris Johnson's Brexit shenanigans.

Theresa May was banjaxed by Boris Johnson's Brexit shenanigans.

Boris Johnson was banjacked by Boris Johnson's myriad shenanigans.

And Liz Truss quite possibly will be banjaxed by Boris Johnson's shenanigans.

A man so supremely self-absorbed, so spectacularly arrogant, so epically self-obsessed that he really would trash an entire country in pursuit of short-term gratification.

There can be little doubt of that now.

Well, at least in the minds of people who are not cultish in their outlooks, people who are,

I don't quite what the word is, people have got their eyes open.

Is that a fair way of putting it?

How you can look at the last

three years of government and conclude anything other than, well, not that we dodged a bullet, we

categorically didn't dodge a bullet, but with a tiny bit of luck, it's going to prove possibly to be

a flesh wound or just a loss of a limb as opposed to a fatal blow to the body politic. Wherever you begin, we spent three hours on Friday, trying to put together a catalogue of this man's calumnies, catastrophes, scandals, lies and corruptions. And we barely touched the sides.
