When I try to tell you what to be aware of, I'm having trouble deciding how to frame it,

0:14.5

because there are so many hot button topics in this week's episode, child sexual assault,

0:20.2

child abuse, child neglect, drug use, promiscuity, addiction.

1:35.2

but no one has come forward with information. The press is not featuring her case in retrospectives.

1:41.7

Her mother and father are not badgering the police or the press for more coverage or for answers.

1:47.6

And that, that in and of itself stood out to me. That the murder of a teenage girl goes

1:53.6

unsolved for so long, shouldn't her mother and father, the people who love her more than anything

1:59.6

in the world, be advocating for her? So the back and forth with the department went on for months.

2:07.6

And again, I understand their hesitation. This is a murder case. You need to protect the evidence
