And let's start with, well, you did quite a lot of digging into Usher Vance's past.

Usher Vance, of course, I should have said at the beginning, is the wife of J.D. Vance

and could be, some people are saying J.D. Vance might not run now in 2028, but he still considered

a favorite to be one of the favorites to be the next president of the United States.

And so she could be the first lady of the United States by 2029.

And I want to just start by asking, what did you learn about her in researching this piece?

First of all, I think I already knew that she was likely very smart.

And that was obviously something that I think most people understood about her because

they met in school at Yale but I figured out just how smart she was or at least seemed
