Chapter 16 for today's study.

Matthew 16.

We are at a story here that happens in Cessori of Philippi,

where Jesus is going to ask probably the most important question

that any of us are going to have to answer.

And the question Jesus raises, he asks about the general

public, what are people saying about this? And then he asks what the disciples think about it. And I also

believe the Lord would ask you this question, who do you say that I am? Who do you say Jesus is?

This is the biggest question, I think, because this question,

if you have the wrong answer, it means you don't really know or accept or believe who Jesus really

is. And it can be a great peril to you if you don't really know the answer to this. And it's interesting because people

have been messing around with this question for centuries. So I brought a few video snippets of

people's answers. People that I think are kind of interesting. For example, does anybody

remember Alice Cooper? Here's Alice Cooper on, well, who do you say that Jesus Christ is?

Most written about character of all time in history.

Right.

And yet people go out of their way to not believe in him.

Why do you think that is?

I think it's because they don't want to give up their godship.

Yeah.

You know, they want to be, I can, I'm a good enough, they believe the Hollywood version of, oh, I do more good than bad, that kind of thing.

And I go to quite a seven, Satan's got you right where you want you, you know, to believe that.
