All right, let's dig in.

To the Book of John, chapter number 15, we're looking at verses 16 and 17 today, and again

Jesus is speaking to His disciples.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit,

and that your fruit should abide.

So that whatever you ask the Father in my name, He may give it to you.

Now if we just stop right there and think about this statement, we can see for sure in

the events of Jesus' life how this is true.

Jesus was going about Judea as His ministry first got started and He came upon these individuals

that we now know as the disciples or later on as the apostles.

And He picked them out of the thousands, the hundreds of thousands who were around Him.

He chose them one at a time, and He is called them to be His disciple, to follow Him around

Judea and learn and watch and grow alongside Him for some purpose.

And Jesus says right here by way of reminder, hey guys, remember, you didn't choose me.

I chose you.
