A pattern throughout the stories that we have shared on the Bodies Behind the Bus podcast

is that often horrible abuse and sometimes even crimes are minimized with sin and grace

language. Time and time again, we see individuals who have harmed others covered by grace

language that absolves them from the consequences of their actions. The Acts 29 network is bursting at the seams with stories from alleged whistleblowers and survivors who have experienced or witnessed abuse and the unsurious systemic response.

It is not grace to shield people from the consequences of their actions, to allow men or women who've been proven unsafe

to have free access to vulnerable communities. It is not the gospel to treat abuse
