| 0:00.0 | Hi friends. Welcome back to Self Care Daily. I hope you've had the most beautiful weekend. |
| 0:11.0 | It's time for us to dive into a brand new topic here on the show. And today and this week, |
| 0:17.9 | I want to talk about mess. I want to talk about the messiness of life, the mess that is being human, |
| 0:28.1 | the mess that is being a parent, if you have kids at home, the mess that is living a regular |
| 0:35.3 | life. I feel like many of us, me absolutely included, we spend a lot of |
| 0:40.9 | time trying to avoid the messy parts of life. We try to keep everything tidy, both at home, |
| 0:48.3 | around the house, in our relationships, in our work. We like to color inside of the lines and do the right thing. |
| 0:57.7 | And, you know, if you're anything like me, you probably spend more time cleaning up messes |

| 1:27.4 | creativity or in play or |
| 1:30.3 | really diving into whatever the thing that we're doing actually is if we always have one eye on |
| 1:37.7 | making sure we're doing things the right way or one eye on how can I make this as perfect as I should, then we're never going to be |
| 1:46.3 | able to actually let go and just go for the thing. Am I resonating with you? This occurred to me |
| 1:53.8 | not just from spending lots of time with my kids where I spend more time keeping things tidy. |
| 2:00.7 | I mean, I'm a parent. It's my job. But when it comes to |
| 2:03.3 | making art with my kids, I kind of do the same thing. I treat art with them as if it's my job to |
| 2:09.8 | tend to everything being tidy and perfect instead of just letting go and making the art, right? |
| 2:16.5 | And I really want to let go and make more of the art. |
| 2:19.2 | And I feel like many of us do. |
