Today's 10-minute walk is helping you stay fitness consistent.

Let's go for a walk.

One of the things that I have been surprised by recently,

probably within the last couple of years,

is how much I enjoy sitting.

And I'm surprised because I understand the dangers of sitting for long periods of time,

really dangerous for their health. And so I'm aware of that. And I'm aware that that sitting can

breed more sitting. The more I sit, the more I want to sit.

Which then, of course, can be dangerous

because if I really am enjoying sitting,

then I don't want to move as much.

So I'm aware of all this, and yet knowing it, having the knowledge,

has not diminished my increasing enjoyment of sitting. And for whatever reason, that's actually been a surprise for me. I'm surprised by how much more I enjoy

sitting than I used to. Part of that is I have a really nice, comfortable chair in my home office.

It's a brown leather chair that we bought shortly after moving down here.

The office that I had at the radio station, they put in there a nice black leather chair.

It was the first time I'd ever had a chair like that in my office.

And I would get off the air in the morning as part of the morning show.

And I would go into my office with a cup of coffee at around 9 a.m.
