We just had a 25 minute chat before we turned on record which gave us our idea for our main topic because we rocked up without a particular idea and but we have a good idea now so what we want to talk about as our main topic is when real life intrudes, that's what we're calling it.

What happens to our art making when things externally change or become horrible or become upsetting and just

what that does to our art making process if anything and where we think art fits into that.

And I have no idea what we're going to say about that.

I expect Alice doesn't either, so let's just see what comes out of our mads.

But before we get to that, what have you been up to this week?

Oh, well, it's been a slightly strange week because after my husband had his bike accident,

he's fine, he's fine, he's fine, he's fine, he's fine he's fine good good everything's fine he's

just a bit hobbly around the house because he's stretched a few things and

bruised a few things but no driving for him so I was off up with my daughter to Leeds

and then overnight in Sheffield

and then looking at Nottingham.

Talking of real life, it was so nice. It was so nice just to be you know busy doing something

totally different you know not on holiday not feeling like I'm on holiday I should be drawing but like really busy and involved in

something else away from home you know there was no time it was full-on day. We got to the end of the day on Friday. We were like, I'm so tired. And we'd left, we left the house, we had nowhere to stay. We didn't, we haven't booked a hotel. She was like like you need to book a hotel. I'm like

they'll be somewhere it'll be fine chill. That's very relaxed of you. You know we need to find a

hotel somewhere between Leeds and Nottingham that has a bed for two people. It's not going to be a problem.

No, true. So it was lovely so we had a really nice time and I think what was interesting about it as well as she's thinking of taking a year off so just this idea of that we often talk about planning and you know how much you can tell things in advance. She is thinking of taking year off but a lot of that is because I think the idea of going to university didn't feel real like it wasn't concrete enough for her to
