Yeah, I got there somehow.

The short of it is I talked to her dad the night before,

and we had spent months, a couple of months at least, talking about when we get married. So she

knew that we were going to get married. Her dad gave me permission. And we didn't have an engagement

ring per se, but somewhere the next day, I just said, well, what date should we pick?
