Welcome back to Fearless. I'm your host, Sissy Graham Lynch, and today is going to be a little bit different. I don't often have people on to share stories. Fearless, in my heart behind Fearless has always been to be able to talk about cultural topics, things we're struggling with in our culture and politics and even in the church. But I was sitting with a friend and a colleague here at Samaritan's purse

the other day, and she said something that just struck me. And I've known her story for many years,

and I wanted to share it here. Because when you grow up in a small town, as I did, I grew up in Boone, North Carolina.

And if you've been following me for a while, you know that my family just moved back here two years ago.

And it would be everything of a small town that you would think about. I often describe it as moving back to a

Hallmark movie where everybody knows you. And even if you don't know them they know you and they might say

something to you in the coffee shop or the bakery anywhere you go you're going to run into people

but i also moved back to where people know everything about me they know my middle school years my

high school years the times i snuck out of my house and the whole town was searching

for me. But you also know the stories of other people. And when I've been gone for so long,

you get to see what God's done with time because he uses time to redeem people. And I want to share

or have my friend share, who here works as my name Gracie O'Lothland. Well, her main name was Gracie Wittle. And so at the time I didn't know her married name of Gracie O'Lothland. And I've asked Gracie to join me today on Fearless. Yay. It's so good to be here. We don't, I told you when I wanted you here on Fearless, I don't do a lot of stories of people's lives.

It's just not been the calling of fearless.

We talk about topical things going on our culture or politics or inside our church.

And over the years you've said things.

And the other day in the lunchroom, you said something that just struck me so deep in my heart of convicting me of something. And we're going to talk about that. Amen. But you've been working at Samaritan's purse now for 12 years, you said? 12 years. 12. Wild. Okay. So let me just back up. Gracie was a senior when I was in eighth grade. And when you're in eighth grade, you know who all the cool and

popular girls are in the high school. We're in small town. There's only one high school. Right. And you were actually my best friend's older sister's best friend. Yes, we were very good friends. So I knew everything about you. I knew you were on the Pacers. That's the dance team here in Bataga County. The Pacers are cool here. I'm just saying, the dance team.

Gorsi was the

captain of it and she was the most popular

girl in school.

Well, gosh, I don't know about that. I wasn't the captain. Brian was the captain. My friend, Brian was the captain. In my memory, you're captain. Well, thank you. It was fun. It was fun. Being a Pacer was fun. Yeah. I knew everything about you. I didn't know everything about you. I knew who you were probably...
