Summary

The Uplift app is here! Try it free for 30 days!   Maybe you wake up tired. You drag yourself through the day, wondering where your energy wandered off to. That second cup of coffee? It’s more like a broken promise. And the habits that used to get you through? They’re just not cutting it anymore. If you’ve ever whispered to yourself, “I just need to get back on track,” let me stop you right there.   You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. You’re a whole human navigating a noisy world, just like many others. Today, we’re flipping the narrative together.   We’ve been taught that our bodies are machines—to push harder, to produce more, to bounce back faster. But your body isn’t a project to fix or a problem to solve. It’s not your enemy. It’s your ally. Always has been.   And the truth is? It’s been speaking to you this whole time. Not to shame you—but to guide you, to protect you, to tell you what it needs.   It’s time we listened, not with guilt or judgment, but with compassion. Because healing doesn’t happen from hustle, it happens from honoring and understanding our bodies. What if your body isn't fighting you? It's actually fighting for you.

0:10.4

I want to talk about what your body is actually trying to tell you and what you need to know.

0:15.3

I know it sounds completely backward, especially if you've been feeling chronically exhausted or frustrated or bloated or inflamed or completely

0:23.7

betrayed by your hormones lately. Maybe you wake up feeling tired and you struggle through afternoon

0:28.5

crashes and you wonder where your old energy went. Maybe it feels like everything that you used to do

0:33.4

just doesn't work anymore. And no matter how hard you try, your body doesn't respond the way it used to.

0:38.3

I know I felt that way. You might be thinking, what happened to me? Am I broken? And if you've ever

0:44.9

muttered something like, oh, I just need to get back on track, then friend, this is for you. But before we

0:52.2

get started, I want to tell you. Today, we're completely rewriting the

0:57.4

false narrative that says your body is a problem to fix, a machine to override, or an enemy to

1:02.9

defeat. Because it's not any of those things. It's a messenger. It's a wise teacher and a faithful

1:08.4

friend. And it's been trying to get our attention, not to shame us,

1:12.7

but to help us come back to ourselves. So let's take a deep dive into this together. I want to take

1:19.0

a moment to share something really personal with me, one that's a little bit raw, a little bit

1:24.9

vulnerable, but really real. About 10 years ago, I started having

1:28.9

terrible stomach pain. I thought it was just reflux. That's what the doctors told me. That's what the

1:33.8

GI specialist told me. And you know the usual approach. You grab the in acids, you get put on a

1:39.4

PPI. I started with amazprazol and then went to Dexelot, a really, really strong PPI to deal with

1:46.8

this stomach pain. And you power through and you pretend like it's no big deal and you change the

1:51.7

way you eat, you do all those things, but it kept showing up every day, every single day. I got food

1:55.9

sensitivities. I gave up coffee in 2016. I had this dull, aching, burning feeling in my gut that wouldn't go away.

2:04.0

And at the time, I was walking through one of the hardest seasons of my life.
