Summary

In this episode, Jeff wraps up fantasy draft season with some final words on what we actually learned. The game has evolved. The masses are sharper, value is tougher to find, and chasing it can keep you from executing real strategy. He breaks down why cheat sheets and endless mocks don’t make you a better drafter, why you should never abandon your draft-day plan when it comes to handcuffing and roster ratios, and why trading rarely bails you out if you botch your draft. Mistakes will happen, and that’s fine. The key is learning from them and applying those lessons moving forward. And finally, don’t panic: Weeks 1 and 2 don’t define your season. This is your final draft season reset before we kick things off for real.

And it's hard to believe, but this is the final episode of fantasy football draft season. I'm not going to be here on Monday. I'm going to take Monday off for Labor Day. So I wanted to take a moment here and reflect back

beneficial for you, the listener, but beneficial for me to really think through these ideas

ideas this off season and using this platform as a way to, you know, to get

all that out there.

1:14.9

So hopefully you found that beneficial.

But I'm always trying to get better at this thing.

And if you're just doing the same things year in and year out in fantasy football, you're

1:26.5

probably among those people

1:27.9

who think this game's about luck, right? Probably not somebody who listens to this podcast,

1:33.7

but there are a lot of folks out there like that. There are a lot of folks out there who aren't

trying to look at what they've done that's right, that's wrong, remember those things,

and build off of those things, correct the
