Well, let's talk about the defense, Brian. Up next year on the Irish Breakdown podcast,

And we just got done talking about what we learned

and the questions that we still had on offense.

Now it's time to switch gears.

And I am with you.

We needed to see more from the offense.

And I think that was even reflective

in some of the shows that we did earlier in the spring.

It was like, okay, going into this practice, this is what I want to see from the offense.

Better progression from CJ Carr, you know,

communication with Will Black and Anthony Knapp

and the receivers do this and the tight ends do this.

We'd like to see Nolan James do this.

And for the defense, it was like, we want them to be aggressive.

And, uh, all right. We'll give you guys a practice report afterwards.

You know what I mean?

So that's kind of where we were at.

But with that being said, there were still some things that we learned about this defense that we didn't know or that we just didn't really have confirmed or verified before going into the spring. And where that starts is with the new assistant coaches. Notre Dame was in a spot where

they had to replace out Washington, Max Bulla, and Mike Mickens. Those are three very impactful

coaches. Those were your three position coaches when they went on their run to the national title.
